“Healing Lahaina” Special Screening, Guided Conversation, and Collective Dialogue

Join us for a moving and restorative screening of Healing Lahaina, an award-winning short documentary capturing the personal impact of the 2023 Lahaina wildfire. Through the lens of community, culture, and lived experience, the film offers a powerful testimony of loss, resilience, and healing in the wake of disaster.

Mental Health & Healing Focus
This special event is designed to support reflection on trauma, grief, and recovery. Following the film, our very own, Kutter Callaway will guide a conversation with the director, Laurel Tamayo, followed by space to engage in collective dialogue around emotional well-being, community care, and storytelling as a form of healing.

What to Expect:
– 11:00 AM: Welcome & Housekeeping (10 min)
– 11:10 AM: Screening of Healing Lahaina (35 min)
– 11:45 AM: Conversation with Director Laurel Tamayo + Guided Reflection (45 min)
– 12:30 PM: Closing Remarks & Community Connection
– 12:45 PM–1:00 PM: Informal fellowship
