Brehm Preaching

The vision of Brehm Preaching—A Lloyd John Ogilvie Initiative—is to proclaim Jesus Christ and to catalyze a movement of empowered, wise preachers, who seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God, leading others to join God’s mission in the world.

Originally established in 2009 as the Ogilvie Institute, Brehm Preaching, recognizes the great need that society has for preachers who can preach with passion and set out to equip and enable a brave, bold breed of preachers for the 21st century church.

  • Micah Groups

Micah Groups is the primary program that brings the Brehm Preaching vision to life. Since 2011, more than 2,000 preachers and church leaders around the world have joined this multiethnic, trans-denominational movement of men and women leading the church to address pressing issues of justice while serving an ever more fragmented church.

As the prophet Micah did in his time, we believe that leaders are needed in our times to call the church to repentance and help facilitate its restoration as they invite others to participate in God’s call to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly.

  • Ogilvie Sermon Archives

Brehm Preaching is honored to host the online collection of Dr. Lloyd John Ogilvie’s library and archived sermons. The David Allan Hubbard Library has cataloged all of these resources, which are available for research. We are grateful for the special gifts from the Let God Love You board, and in particular the work of George Bayz, who made it possible for these video resources to be available online.

  • Ogilvie Institute Book Series

The books in the Ogilvie Institute series are selected to contribute to the development of wise, humble, and justice-seeking preachers. The authors represent both scholars of preaching as well as pastors and preachers whose experiences and insights can contribute to passionate and excellent preaching.

The series, co-edited by Edgar "Trey" Clark, III and Jennifer Ackerman, engages a wide range of issues related to preaching, including but not limited to, preaching and culture, worship and liturgy, gender justice and preaching, racial justice and preaching, creation care and preaching, and spiritual formation and preaching.
